Who we are
The Ijesha Global Alliance for Development hereinafter referred to as (IGAD) is a coalition of Ijeshas in the Nigeria Homeland and in the Diaspora. The primary mission of IGAD is to mobilize the resources, and talents of Ijeshas across the globe to drive the sustainable and people-centered, social, economic, and industrial development of Ijeshaland. IGAD is registered as a tax-exempt non-profit organization in the US.
Our Development Model
IGAD’s core community development philosophy is grounded in a broad-based, holistic development masterplan for Ijeshaland that incorporates both philanthropic giving and the mobilization of investment and human capital for the industrialization and economic development of Ijeshaland.
Our Management Structure
As enshrined in its article of incorporation and Byelaws, IGAD is governed by an elected 7-member Board ofDirectors currently headed by Prince Bimbo Olashore. Other members include Dr. Adewale Alonge, Pastor Laitan Obileye, Dr Babatunde Ojo, Alhaji Lateef A. Bakare (Sir LAB), with Sir Ademola Aladekomo and
Professor Olowookere as ex-officio members. IGAD’s daily operation is managed by an executive director who is answerable to the executive board. IGAD also has advisory Board of Trustees made up of eminent Ijesha personalities.
