5 Essential Brave Browser Hacks to Take Control of Your Browsing Experience Part 1
Brave isn’t just another Chromium-based alternative to Google Chrome—it’s built from the ground up with privacy, control, and performance in mind.
But here’s the catch: many of its most powerful features are either hidden or not fully optimized by default. If you’re using Brave without tweaking it, you’re leaving a lot on the table.
These first five hacks focus on cleaning up your browser, strengthening privacy, and improving everyday usability.
1. Remove Brave’s Built-In Ads and Declutter Your Interface
Brave promotes its own ecosystem—Rewards, VPN, News, and more—directly on your new tab page. That’s part of its business model, but you don’t have to keep it.
Head to a new tab → click the settings (gear icon), then:
- Turn off New Tab Page ads
